Dr Yasmin Rashid, incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Punjab president, has come forward to criticize PML-N President Nawaz Sharif for what she claims are “false statements” regarding political victimization. In a letter shared with the media from jail, she highlighted instances of alleged political victimization, including the arrest and re-arrest of women prisoners.
She accused Sharif and his daughter of orchestrating a campaign of political vendetta against PTI leaders and workers, citing examples of arrests and mistreatment in jails across Punjab. Dr Rashid emphasized the need for justice and fair treatment for political prisoners, urging the chief justice of Pakistan to intervene.
She also called out the PML-N for what she perceived as political victimization of the masses through budget decisions. Dr Rashid’s appeal for justice and awareness of alleged mistreatment in the judicial system underlines her commitment to seeking fairness and equality for all.
