Recently, over 80 Ukrainian drones launched an attack on various Russian regions, as reported by the Russian Defense Ministry. The Ministry stated that 70 out of the 80 drones were successfully shot down over the Rostov region during the assault.
Rostov-on-Don, a significant city near the Ukrainian border, serves as the central hub for the Kremlin’s military operations. The attack caused power outages in the Morozovsky district of the Rostov region, impacting several settlements. Morozovsk is home to a military airfield where Russian bombers operate, targeting both Ukrainian military positions and civilians in frontline cities.
The Security Service of Ukraine, along with the military and Defense Forces, orchestrated the attack, resulting in the destruction of at least six Russian military aircraft and damage to eight others. This operation significantly weakened the combat capabilities of the Russian forces, according to Ukrainian sources.
Additional drone attacks were reported in other Russian regions, with minor damages in some areas, but no casualties were reported.
