MP elect Shettar claims Congress conspiracy behind BSY’s arrest warrant

In Belagavi, MP elect Jagadish Shettar expressed his opinion on the arrest warrant issued against former chief minister B S Yeddiyurappa, calling it a conspiracy by Congress leaders for political vengeance. The case gained momentum after Rahul Gandhi, along with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D K Shivakumar, was summoned in connection with a case filed by BJP in Bengaluru.

Shettar highlighted that the case under the POCSO Act was filed months ago, with Home Minister Dr G Parameshwar previously mentioning the mental instability of the complainant. The sudden issuance of the arrest warrant against Yeddiyurappa raises questions, leading Shettar to believe it as a diversionary tactic by the Congress government amidst other controversies.

Despite the demise of the complainant, Shettar asserted that the case is a political vendetta by Congress, particularly evident after the court appearances of key Congress leaders. This turns the spotlight on the power play within the state politics, drawing attention away from pressing issues like corruption scandals.
