The new outreach plan is a response to the historical trauma inflicted on Native children at Catholic boarding schools. Titled “Keeping Christ’s Sacred Promise: A Pastoral Framework for Indigenous Ministry,” the document aims to revitalize Indigenous Catholic ministry by incorporating their voices and traditions.
