Last night, it was revealed that the government session time was changed, with 44 out of 45 matters going unreported. The lack of authority in the country was cited as the reason for this by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, leader of the opposition Tavush for the Homeland movement.
In response to these events, plans for a protest rally at the Marshal Baghramyan Avenue-Proshyan Street intersection were announced for 8 pm. Archbishop Galstanyan expressed frustration at the situation, calling the government representatives “perfect representatives of dictatorship.”
Earlier reports detailed a violent crackdown by police during protests near the Armenian parliament building, resulting in injuries to demonstrators and journalists. The Ministry of Health of Armenia stated that 101 individuals sought medical assistance due to the events on Marshal Baghramyan Avenue.
The escalating tensions in Armenia highlight the fragility of the political situation in the country and the urgent need for change to protect the rights and safety of its citizens.
