Manslaughter alternative rejected in Lynn trial.

Manslaughter alternative rejected in Lynn trial.

Jurors in the trial of former airline pilot Greg Lynn will only need to determine if he is guilty of murder, as the judge ruled out an alternate manslaughter charge. Lynn, 57, is accused of killing Russell Hill and Carol Clay in Victoria’s alpine region over four years ago. He has pleaded not guilty to two charges of murder and admitted to destroying evidence.

After the judge’s instructions, the jury was informed that manslaughter was no longer an option and that they must focus on the murder charges. Justice Croucher emphasized the importance of impartiality and rational judgment in their decision-making process.
