Azerbaijan explores potential areas of partnership with Greece

Azerbaijan and Greece have come together to create a two-year Action Plan that will guide their cooperation in various areas. The fifth session of the Joint Commission on Economic, Industrial, and Technological Cooperation between the two countries was a success, with agreements signed and plans set in motion.

The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Greece reached $1.4 billion last year, showing the significant economic ties between the two nations. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Kostas Fragogiannis, highlighted the potential for growth in trade and investment, transportation, agriculture, energy, technology, healthcare, and tourism.

The meeting laid a strong foundation for ongoing dialogue and collaboration between Greece and Azerbaijan. The Greek side was particularly interested in the investment opportunities in Azerbaijan, including the Free Economic Zone “Alat” and the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor “East-West”.

This partnership is set to bring mutual benefits and opportunities for both countries, paving the way for a fruitful relationship in the future.
