Apple workers urge company to stop

A group of Apple shareholders and current and former employees have come together to publicly urge the company to stop funding illegal “Israelisettlements and the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF). The call, articulated in an open letter, is an extension of the Apples4Ceasefire campaign, demanding the removal of organizations supporting West Bank settlements from Apple’s donation platforms.

The letter, signed by 133 verified individuals with ties to Apple, sheds light on the extensive funding – totaling hundreds of millions of dollars – that US-based non-profit organizations have directed towards settler groups in “Israel”. Efforts to address this issue are gaining momentum, with lawmakers introducing legislation to curb unauthorized support for “Israeli” settlement activities.

As the US imposes sanctions on “Israeli” settler groups, the tech industry is witnessing a rise in calls for divestment from “Israel’s” occupation of Palestinian territories. Recent actions by Google and Meta employees, challenging their respective companies’ involvement in controversial projects with the Israeli Occupation, underscore the growing movement towards corporate accountability.
