Falklands Prepares for Liberation Day Celebrations with Road Closures
Falklands: Road Closures on Thursday and Friday for Liberation Day Celebration
The Royal Falkland Island Police has announced road closures on Thursday and Friday for the Liberation Day Parade rehearsals. On Thursday, Ross Road will be closed from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, and on Friday, a section of Ross Road will be closed from 9am to 12pm.
During the closures, there will be no access via certain streets to allow for the parade troops to march safely to the 1982 Liberation Monument. The police will be present to ensure pedestrian paths are maintained throughout the closures.
The Royal Falkland Island Police thanked the public for their cooperation and apologized for any inconvenience caused. The closures are necessary to ensure the smooth execution of the Liberation Day celebrations in Falklands.
