Peace unlocks region’s full potential

The recent Armenia-US Strategic Dialogue Capstone meeting, held in Yerevan on June 11, 2024, highlighted the commitment of both countries to deepening their ties through a Strategic Partnership Commission. The meeting focused on various aspects of cooperation, including economic and energy resilience, security, law enforcement, and promoting justice and democratic values.

Both Armenia and the United States expressed their satisfaction with the progress made in strengthening bilateral relations, with a particular emphasis on the development of Armenia’s economy and energy sector. The two countries discussed plans to enhance trade relations, cooperation on sanctions and export controls, and support for Armenia’s food security and energy independence.

In terms of security and law enforcement cooperation, the US reiterated its support for Armenia’s defense transformation and law enforcement development initiatives. The meeting also addressed the promotion of justice, democratic institutions, and shared democratic values, with a focus on preventing corruption and fostering judicial integrity and independence.

The Armenia-US Strategic Dialogue Capstone meeting laid the groundwork for continued collaboration in various areas, reflecting a shared commitment to mutual prosperity, security, and democratic values.
