King Abdullah II of Jordan convened the “Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza” conference, attended by Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II. During the conference, the King held meetings with various heads of state and government to discuss the importance of international efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and ensure the continuous flow of aid to the region.
He emphasized the need to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, highlighting the dangerous conditions and the necessity of increasing basic supplies in the area. King Abdullah II also praised the international recognition of Palestinian statehood, stressing the significance of capitalizing on this positive development.
Furthermore, he reiterated the call for a political solution based on the two-state solution to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. The meetings were attended by key Jordanian officials including the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and other high-ranking officials.
