Israeli Raid to Free Hostages in Gaza Kills 270+ Palestinians

Israel’s continued bombardment of Gaza has resulted in at least 40 Palestinian deaths and over 200 injuries in the last 24 hours. The recent attacks are part of a larger assault that led to the deaths of at least 274 Palestinians, including 64 children, in the Nuseirat refugee camp. The Biden administration reportedly provided intelligence to aid in the hostage rescue mission that resulted in the freeing of four Israelis.

Journalist Akram al-Satarri, who witnessed the attack firsthand, described the horrific scenes in Gaza, with civilians being targeted and massacred. The hospitals in Gaza, including Al-Aqsa Hospital, are overwhelmed with casualties, struggling to cope with the influx of injured individuals.

Meanwhile, humanitarian aid has resumed in Gaza, but the situation remains dire. Nine out of 10 children in the Gaza Strip are experiencing severe food shortages, highlighting the urgent need for help. The World Food Programme has suspended its operations due to the deteriorating security situation, exacerbating food insecurity.

As the crisis in Gaza deepens, with food being weaponized and civilians suffering, the international community must do more to address the urgent humanitarian needs of the people in Gaza. The situation is critical, with survival becoming the primary concern for many in the region.\
