Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently met with James O’Brien, Assistant Secretary at the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the US Department of State. During their meeting, the emphasis was placed on the importance of the Armenia-US Strategic Dialogue and the need for continued cooperation between the two countries.
Pashinyan highlighted the US’s support for democratic reforms in Armenia and expressed the belief that the recent high-level meeting in Yerevan will contribute to further development and strengthening of multi-sectoral cooperation. O’Brien, on the other hand, assured that the US will continue to assist Armenia in promoting reforms in various domains.
The discussion also touched upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, border delimitation process, and the Crossroads of Peace project initiated by the Armenian government. Pashinyan further informed about the housing provision program for Armenians displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh and stressed the importance of international assistance in its implementation.
