Shivraj Singh Chouhan Takes Charge as Union Agriculture Minister
Senior BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan, a four-time former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, has assumed office as the Union Agriculture Minister in Prime Minister Modi’s new Cabinet. He has also been assigned the Rural Development Ministry.
Chouhan, known as “mama” and “paon-paon wale bhaiya,” brings vast experience in governance and a strong connection with rural communities to his new role. His appointment is expected to invigorate the government’s efforts in addressing challenges faced by the agriculture sector and farming community.
