King Abdullah II of Jordan emphasized the urgent need for humanitarian action in Gaza, stating that the people of Gaza require immediate assistance in the face of death and devastation. Speaking at the “Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza” conference, King Abdullah stressed that humanitarian access cannot wait for a ceasefire and must not be subject to political agendas.

Highlighting the severe lack of international humanitarian response in Gaza, the King called for coordinated efforts to provide aid to the region. Jordan pledged continued support through land and airdrop operations, emphasizing the urgency of delivering essential supplies like medicine and shelter material.

In addition to addressing the crisis in Gaza, King Abdullah raised concerns about the dire economic, political, and security situation in the West Bank. Urging for proactive measures to prevent further escalation, the King emphasized the need for immediate action to support both Gaza and the West Bank.

The conference, co-organized by Jordan, Egypt, and the United Nations, aimed to strengthen the international community’s humanitarian response in Gaza and outline steps for unified action.
