In a shocking incident in Chhattisgarh, two cattle transport workers were murdered and another severely injured by a mob on June 7, 2024. The All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) strongly condemned the violence and demanded Parliament to enact a law to prevent mob lynching and hate crimes.
According to the AIKS, the workers were targeted by a group of 15-20 people who followed their truck and sabotaged it by putting nails on the bridge. The workers were brutally beaten and thrown off the bridge, resulting in the death of two workers and severe injuries to another.
The AIKS called this incident a premeditated murder and a hate crime, emphasizing the need for a law to prevent such atrocities. They also demanded a judicial inquiry into the incident and compensation for the victims’ families.
The AIKS criticized the police for not taking appropriate action and called for fast track courts to ensure swift justice for the victims. This incident highlights the urgent need to address mob violence and hate crimes in the name of cow protection.
