Armenia parliament delays debates on special session proposal for 2 months

The Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia has decided to postpone the draft of the NA address “On the resignation of the government and the need to form a new government” for up to two months. This draft was authored by the opposition With Honor and Armenia Factions.

Arusyak Julhakyan, the deputy chair of the committee, explained that the debates on this matter have been delayed as per the NA regulation law due to the absence of the main rapporteur. This decision indicates that there will be further discussions and considerations before any actions are taken regarding the resignation of the government and the formation of a new one.

As the political landscape in Armenia continues to evolve, this delay highlights the importance of thorough examination and deliberation in such significant matters. It also underscores the complexities involved in making decisions that have a major impact on the country’s governance.
