Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong congratulated Narendra Modi on his reappointment as India’s prime minister, highlighting Modi’s role in transforming India and uplifting millions of lives. Modi, who is serving a record-equalling third term, leads the BJP-led NDA government.
In a letter, Wong expressed his eagerness to work with Modi to enhance strategic bilateral ties between Singapore and India. He commended Modi for his leadership in driving India’s growth and prosperity, emphasizing the warm relationship between the two countries.
Wong also mentioned plans to celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties by expanding collaboration in areas such as digitalization, skilling, and healthcare. He extended well wishes to Modi for his continued success and good health, expressing a desire to deepen ties further.
Wong, who recently became Singapore’s prime minister, succeeded Lee Hsien Loong and looks forward to strengthening the bond between Singapore and India, building on the foundation established by his predecessor.
