Rajasthan ministers keep portfolios, except Gajendra Shekhawat

In a recent reshuffle, Rajasthan’s four ministers have been given important portfolios, including Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who now heads the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Shekhawat, known for his work on the Jal Jeevan Mission, is expected to promote cultural nationalism and religious tourism in the state.

Bhupendra Yadav retains the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, showcasing India’s stance on climate change internationally. Arjun Ram Meghwal, a prominent Dalit face, continues as the Minister of Law and Justice, known for his legislative knowledge and non-controversial image.

First-time minister Bhagirath Choudhury, a Jat farmer leader, takes charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to address the concerns of farmers and Jat communities. The reshuffle aims to strengthen the BJP’s position in Rajasthan following 11 losses in the recent elections.
