NZ PM Luxon to visit Japan next week

New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon is set to visit Japan for the first time since taking office in November 2023. His four-day trip, starting next Sunday, will focus on strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, based on shared values such as freedom.

During his visit, Luxon is expected to meet with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to discuss the importance of bilateral relations. This follows discussions between Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa and New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters, where both countries committed to working together for regional stability and prosperity.

This visit underscores the close ties between New Zealand and Japan, highlighting their continued cooperation in various areas. Luxon’s visit is seen as an important step in deepening the relationship between the two nations and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
