As Narendra Modi took office for the third time as India’s Prime Minister, there was a notable absence of Muslim representation in his 71-member council of ministers. Notably, Muslim MPs have been on the decline, with their current absence from the Indian ministry reflecting a lack of efforts by political parties to ensure representation.
