The Financial Times (FT) reported on June 10 about the strained relations between Kyiv and Western allies due to government firings, resignations, and reshuffles. Concerns are rising about how Ukraine can address its energy infrastructure amidst Russia’s repeated attacks.

Mustafa Nayyem, head of Ukraine’s Infrastructure Development Agency, recently resigned citing “systemic obstacles” hindering his work, with two other officials following suit. Earlier, Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov was dismissed by Ukraine’s Parliament.

The FT revealed that tensions between Kyiv and Western partners have escalated due to unpredictability caused by internal political rivalries. The U.S. and other allies are growing wary of Ukraine’s government decisions.
