The 2024 Indian general elections have ushered in a new political era marked by a focus on development. The Indian populace now demands concrete progress and tangible improvements in their quality of life, regardless of political affiliations. Both ruling and Opposition coalitions must prioritize development-led initiatives to meet this call. The NDA coalition, under Modi 3.0, is poised to lead India towards a transformative journey of growth and modernization. The emphasis on infrastructure, digital innovation, and social welfare will create a more prosperous and equitable India.
To sustain political viability, grassroots development is imperative. The government should focus on employment generation, infrastructure projects, healthcare, education, and environmental policies for holistic prosperity. Policies must drive sustainable and inclusive growth, supporting rural development and technological advancements.
The concept of “one nation, one agenda: development” calls for a collaborative approach, empowering policymakers, grassroots organizations, and communities. This inclusive framework challenges traditional notions of development economics, advocating for human well-being and sustainable progress.
Despite progress, India lags in achieving its SDG targets. A systems-change approach is needed to address root causes and foster long-term solutions, emphasizing cooperation between social-purpose organizations and governments. “One nation, one agenda” offers a roadmap for a just and equitable society, redefining the path to a better future for all.
