Gaza hospital overwhelmed by injuries following Israeli attack

In the aftermath of a deadly Israeli attack in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital is overwhelmed with hundreds of patients in need of urgent medical attention. With at least 274 dead and nearly 700 injured, the hospital is struggling to cope with the sheer number of casualties.

Currently, the hospital is the only functioning medical facility in the central Gaza Strip, making the situation even more challenging. Patients are lying on the floor due to limited resources, and medics are working tirelessly to provide care.

The hospital has issued a plea to the international community for support, requesting medical supplies and generators to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. The dire situation is further compounded by the lack of fuel for one of the generators, posing a threat to the lives of patients, including premature infants.

The ongoing Israeli offensive in Gaza has left vast areas in ruins, with tens of thousands killed and injured. The hospital director has called for an immediate cease-fire to prevent further loss of civilian lives.

As the international community looks on, urgent action is needed to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
