Get ready to celebrate Democracy Day in style this year! The Federal Government has announced a series of events starting with a symposium on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the State House Conference Centre, Presidential Villa, Abuja, at 9 am.
Following the symposium, a youth conference will take place at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja, at 6 pm on the same day. It’s going to be a day filled with insightful discussions and vibrant energy.
The highlight of the celebration will be a grand parade on Wednesday, June 12, at 8 am at Eagle Square, Abuja, followed by a dinner at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja, at 6 pm.
In 2018, Nigeria’s Democracy Day was moved to June 12 by former President Mohammadu Buhari to honor the late Moshood Abiola, the acclaimed winner of the 1993 presidential election. Let’s come together to commemorate this important day in Nigeria’s history!
