Save Ukraine announced the successful return of a 17-year-old girl from Russia to Ukraine. Despite numerous challenges, the team managed to bring her back to her native land. Reunited with her mother, the girl’s return marks a significant milestone.
On June 6, three more children were returned from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The Save Ukraine team has successfully repatriated a total of 359 Ukrainian children.

The European Parliament reported in 2023 that up to 300,000 illegally deported Ukrainian children may have been taken to Russia since 2014. In January, Ukraine managed to bring back 517 children and 2828 adults from Russia.
As of May 2024, at least 19,546 children have been deported or forcibly displaced by Russia, with 2015 children still being considered missing. President Zelensky highlighted the plight of Ukrainian children abducted by Russians since the invasion began.
