The Kano State Government has taken a proactive step by establishing a clinic in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, to ensure adequate medical care for its pilgrims. This clinic will work in conjunction with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) clinic to provide necessary medical attention to the state’s pilgrims.
The State Amirul Hajj and Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Gwarzo, will personally visit the clinic to assess the level of commitment of the state pilgrim board towards the well-being of the pilgrims. The establishment of the clinic in House Number 5 in Makkah has received approval from NAHCON officials, signaling the green light for operations.
Governor Yusuf had previously sponsored a team of 11 health professionals to provide medical care for the pilgrims, showcasing the government’s dedication to the welfare of its citizens in the holy land. Kano State is the only state in Nigeria permitted by NAHCON to open a clinic for its pilgrims in Makkah. This move demonstrates the state’s commitment to ensuring the health and safety of its citizens during the pilgrimage.
