Ukraine Loses Up to 2,850 Soldiers in Fights With Russia’s Battlegroup Zapad – MoD

Russia’s Battlegroup Zapad has gained an advantage over the past week, resulting in Ukraine losing up to 2,850 soldiers in clashes, according to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry.

The MoD reported that Battlegroup Zapad significantly improved its position on the front line while fending off 11 counterattacks. The Ukrainian armed forces suffered losses of military personnel, two tanks, and 19 armored combat vehicles.

In addition to the casualties from clashes with Battlegroup Zapad, Ukraine also lost soldiers in battles with other Russian battlegroups. The Russian forces managed to seize control of the settlement of Paraskovyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and carried out 27 strikes on key Ukrainian facilities.

This development highlights the escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine, with significant casualties and territorial gains on the Russian side.
