Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Saha Sinha to discuss enhancing Armenian-Indian trade relations. The focus was on areas like agriculture, industry, and the possibility of building a copper smelter in Armenia using advanced Indian technologies.
Papoyan proposed deepening cooperation in the jewelry sector and showcasing Armenian jewelry at Indian exhibitions. Emphasizing Armenia’s interest in the chemical and metallurgical industry, he invited Indian companies to collaborate on “Green Chemistry” projects.
Both sides highlighted the importance of organizing international exhibitions and business forums to facilitate bilateral business ties. They also touched upon the “Crossroads of Peace” project, seen as a potential driver of regional economic cooperation.
