Cabinet talks ongoing; TDP, JD(U) aim for IT & Railways, BJP hesitant to share.

Leaders of the BJP in New Delhi held meetings to discuss portfolio distribution a day before the government was to be sworn in. President JP Nadda and senior leader Amit Shah met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to finalize the discussions. No confirmations have been made to allies or prospective ministers yet, as PM Modi is expected to make the final call after the swearing-in ceremony.

After the NDA meet on Friday, Nadda and Shah heard demands from Alliance leaders like TDP and JD(U) regarding ministries such as Urban Affairs, Information Technology, Water Resources, Road Transport, Railways, and Agriculture. The BJP is not keen on giving away key ministries like Home, Finance, Defence, Railways, Law, and IT. Around 30 ministers are expected to be sworn in on Sunday alongside PM Modi.
