Preparing Karachi for Monsoon Season
In anticipation of heavier than normal rainfall this monsoon season, the city administration in Karachi has unveiled a comprehensive plan to tackle potential flooding. With a focus on cleaning 586 drains and clearing over 310 choking points across the city, officials are gearing up for the upcoming weather challenges.

The city’s chief secretary, Syed Asif Hyder Shah, stressed the importance of collaboration with organizations like K-Electric to maintain power supply for drainage operations. Additionally, measures are being taken to evacuate sensitive buildings and anticipate emergency situations that may arise during the monsoon season.
