During a meeting in Paris, US President Joseph Biden pledged to continue supporting Ukraine, announcing an additional military aid package worth 225 million dollars for Kiev. Biden assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the US would stand by their side in their fight, expressing regret for the delay in Congress’s decision to approve the aid.
The new assistance includes air defense missiles, artillery ammunition, and other crucial military assets. The White House emphasized unwavering support for Ukraine, with plans for the two leaders to meet again at the upcoming G7 summit in Italy.
The US Department of Defense detailed that the aid package would supply Ukraine with essential weapons to address their immediate battlefield requirements, such as Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, ammunition for Heimars systems, and various artillery shells.
