Ajit Pawar takes full responsibility for NCP’s surprising Baramati loss

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar took full responsibility for the NCP’s poor performance in the recent Lok Sabha polls. Despite the defeat in Baramati, viewed as a prestige battle, Pawar remains confident in his leadership.

Addressing a press conference, Pawar emphasized that all legislators are firmly supporting him and dismissed rumors of defections. He acknowledged the surprising loss in Baramati but expressed gratitude for the enduring support of the people.

Pawar highlighted factors contributing to the NCP’s defeat, including alienation of minority communities, constitutional amendments, and caste-based agitations. He affirmed commitment to introspection and strategizing to regain public trust.

Regarding alliances and defections, Pawar cited historical precedents in Maharashtra politics and stressed unity within the NCP. He plans to engage in discussions with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis to address post-election challenges.
