The Arrival and Transportation of the Sea Harrier and Lynx Helicopter in the Falklands

A Sea Harrier and Lynx helicopter will be transported to Stanley by the Joint Aircraft Recovery and Transportation Squadron (JARTS) with assistance from Big B’s Haulage and the Falklands Islands Company. The MPA road will remain open to the public during the transportation, with vehicles making way for the aircrafts.

Key Timings:

• Thursday, 13th June – Transport from Mare Harbour to the Quarry
• Friday, 14th June – Journey from the Quarry to 1 Airport Road
• Monday, 17th June – Move to FIGAS for wrapping

The schedule is subject to weather conditions, and a special thanks is extended to all involved in the operation. The public is encouraged to view the aircraft at specified locations during the process.
