The Sanaa government recently applauded the decision of the Greek frigate “Hydra” to withdraw from the Red Sea, labeling it as a positive step. Deputy Foreign Minister, Hussein Al-Ezzi, hailed the move as beneficial for the safety of navigation in the region.

In a statement, Al-Ezzi emphasized the importance of protecting navigation in the Red Sea and encouraged other frigates to follow suit. He stressed that Yemen prioritizes humanitarian and moral duties in safeguarding the waters, advocating for a peaceful and non-provocative presence.
