Milei suggests Big Tech influence on government plans

Argentina’s President Javier Milei is considering using artificial intelligence (AI) to advance libertarian reforms in the country, aiming for improvements in education and government efficiency. During a recent visit to the US, Milei met with tech leaders like Mark Zuckerberg to explore AI applications.

Milei revealed plans to collaborate with Meta to introduce AI into the education system to enhance learning opportunities for children. Additionally, discussions with Minister Sandra Pettovello have taken place to implement this initiative.

Furthermore, Milei envisions AI streamlining government downsizing efforts, shifting jobs from the public sector to the private sector. He highlighted El Salvador’s success in utilizing AI for similar reforms, indicating strategic insights gleaned from his interactions with President Nayib Bukele.

Milei’s rapid reforms have stabilized Argentina’s economy, with significant reductions in inflation and plans to eliminate government positions and social programs. The overarching goal is to combat corruption within the political framework and foster a more efficient, transparent administration.
