The Jordanian government has recently approved new regulations for the examination of medical supplies, sterilizers, disinfectants, and cosmetics, set to be implemented in 2024. These regulations were established during a Cabinet session chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh. The new drug examination system aims to meet international accreditation requirements with entities like the Jordan Food and Drug Administration and the World Health Organization.
This system includes setting up independent inspection processes for medical supplies, organizing examinations for products containing vitamins and natural substances, and regulating drug examination in contracted laboratories. The Cabinet also approved regulations for the inspection of medical supplies and established systems for the regulation of shelters for persons with disabilities and licensing fees for banks in 2024.
Moreover, decisions were made regarding the revision of practices in the nutrition profession, the formation of the Bani Obeid municipal court, and the settlement of outstanding tax cases. The government also aims to improve oversight and accountability through these new regulations, ensuring compliance and quality in various sectors like healthcare and finance.
