The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly denounced the recent storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli extremists, including a minister and members of the Knesset, under the protection of occupation police. This violation of the holy mosque’s sanctity was labeled as provocative and unacceptable by the Ministry.
In addition, the Ministry condemned the Israeli government’s approval of the flag march in Jerusalem, which resulted in aggression against Palestinians and restrictions on worshipers’ access to Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Ministry’s official spokesman, Sufian Qudah, emphasized that such actions are in direct violation of international law and the historical status of Jerusalem.
Qudah called on Israel to cease all violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque and respect its sanctity, highlighting the exclusive authority of the Department of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem Affairs in managing all mosque affairs. The Ministry warned against the continuation of these violations and stressed the need to respect the holy sites in Jerusalem.
