To ensure the success of these expanded measures, the government will be collecting “support funds” from the general public through additional fees added to public medical insurance premiums. This move will help secure the necessary funds to support families and promote population growth.

The bill, which amends related laws, received approval through a majority vote at a plenary meeting of the House of Councilors. The ruling camp provided significant support for the bill, which previously passed through the House of Representatives in April.
