From Oratorical Criticism to Leadership: Nara Lokesh Revives TDP in Andhra

Nara Lokesh, son of TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu, secured victory in the Mangalagiri Assembly segment in the Andhra Pradesh elections, favoring the TDP. He expressed NDA’s commitment to state development once in power.

Lokesh, an executive at Heritage Foods Limited, won his first election after entering politics in 2013. Holding a Stanford MBA, he defeated YSRCP’s Murugudu Lavanya with a record margin.

Embracing politics after focusing on the family business, Lokesh has been working to strengthen TDP in Andhra. He undertook a padyatra to engage with the youth and campaigned against Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government.

Critics targeted his privileged background, but Lokesh emphasized his dedication to Andhra’s progress. By highlighting his family’s contributions, he rallied support for TDP’s vision.

He stood by TDP cadres and aimed to empower rural Andhra, focusing on Amaravati’s development. The young leader’s victory marks a significant milestone for both him and his party.
