Russia Targets 7 Villages in Sumy Oblast
Russian forces carried out multiple attacks in Ukraine’s Sumy Oblast, hitting seven communities with mortar, artillery, and drone strikes. The region reported 61 explosions in the past 24 hours, with no casualties or damages to civilian infrastructure.

The village of Khotin witnessed the bulk of the attacks, with a population of approximately 2,290 people. These assaults have escalated in recent months, culminating in a tragic rocket attack in Krasnopillia on May 29, resulting in civilian casualties.

As a response to the intensified attacks, Ukrainian authorities have ordered evacuations from Sumy Oblast, which shares borders with Russia’s Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod oblasts. Additionally, Russian troop losses in May reached a record high according to Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
