Paris’ Metro Line 14 finishes trials 20 days early ahead of opening

French President Emmanuel Macron will inaugurate the extension of metro line 14 in Paris on June 24, connecting Saint-Denis-Pleyel station to Orly Airport, ahead of the Olympics. This extension is part of the Grand Paris Express project, intended to transform the region’s transportation system.

The line’s expansion, adding seven new stations and doubling in length, is expected to accommodate up to a million passengers daily by 2025. The accelerated completion aims to serve Olympic visitors and locals alike, showcasing modernized infrastructure and enhanced connectivity.
