In the first five months of 2024, the country saw a 3.9% increase in meat exports, totaling 257,464 tons and generating $824 million in revenue. This growth, despite a slight dip in beef exports, showcases Paraguay’s resilience and increasing prominence in the market.
Chile emerged as Paraguay’s top importer of beef, reflecting the growing interconnectedness of regional economies. Additionally, Brazil, a major player in the global market, also purchased a significant portion of Paraguay’s beef exports, highlighting the country’s ability to compete with established exporters.
This growth is supported by Paraguay’s investments in animal health and production infrastructure, with strict quality controls and sustainable practices in place.
