Dialogue the Only Way Forward, Says Former Minister Fawad Chaudhry
Former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry emphasized the importance of dialogue with PTI founder Imran Khan during a media interaction outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Chaudhry urged PTI not to be hasty and to seize the opportunity to resolve issues through peaceful discussions.
Highlighting the power of the people held by Imran Khan, Chaudhry stated that the country cannot be governed through force. Referring to the sentencing of Pervez Musharraf, he emphasized the consequences of going against the will of the people.
Despite offers from government officials for dialogue, PTI maintained its stance against engaging with parties deemed lacking legitimacy. With tensions running high, PTI continues to refuse talks with those they consider ‘mandate thieves’.
Meanwhile, Minister for Petroleum Division Musadik Malik stressed the importance of reconciliation in politics, expressing PML-N’s willingness to engage in dialogue and work towards a harmonious political landscape.
However, PTI’s refusal to engage with certain parties underscores the challenges facing political dialogue in Pakistan.
