Djokovic uncertain for French Open quarters after knee injury

Novak Djokovic, the top seed at the French Open, faced a challenging match against Argentine Francisco Cerundolo on Monday. Despite concerns about his injured knee, Djokovic managed to secure a hard-fought victory in five sets, with a final score of 6-1 5-7 3-6 7-5 6-3.

The 37-year-old tennis star, who had also struggled in the third round against Lorenzo Musetti, revealed that he had been dealing with discomfort in his right knee for a few weeks. The issue worsened when he slipped and tweaked it during the second set against Cerundolo.

Despite considering pulling out of the match due to the injury, Djokovic persevered and ultimately advanced to the quarterfinals after a grueling four-hour and 39-minute battle. His determination and fighting spirit were evident as he overcame the physical challenges to continue his title defense at Roland Garros.
