Netanyahu: War May Pause, But Not Stop

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected US President Joe Biden’s ceasefire proposal for the ongoing war in Gaza, stating that he is not ready to stop the war until the complete victory is achieved. Netanyahu dismissed the partial outline presented by Biden, revealing that the war will only pause for the return of hostages without a permanent ceasefire agreement.

However, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir accused Netanyahu of concealing key details of the proposal, leading to tensions within the Israeli government. Meanwhile, Biden’s proposal includes a six-week truce, partial withdrawal of Israeli forces, and a prisoner exchange deal, which has received mixed reactions.

Hamas has expressed readiness to engage positively with the proposal, emphasizing the importance of ending the occupation army’s presence and achieving a ceasefire. As the conflict continues, Israel’s devastating war on Gaza has resulted in thousands of casualties and displacement, raising concerns internationally.
