The US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) confirmed in an unclassified report that Russia used North Korean-made ballistic missiles in its war against Ukraine. The DIA found similarities between missile debris in Ukraine and North Korean state media images, pointing to their use in the conflict.

The report details the matching features of the missile debris and North Korean SRBMs, implicating North Korea in supplying weapons to Russia’s war effort. This revelation comes amidst deepened relations between the two countries and ongoing missile tests by North Korea.

The DIA’s analysis sheds light on the DPRK’s missile program history and its willingness to provide ballistic missiles to allies for conflicts. The agency warns of the DPRK’s continued efforts to expand its missile program, posing a threat to global stability.
