Chile Joins South Africa in Filing Case Against Israel at ICJ
The Chilean government, under President Gabriel Boric Font, has announced its decision to support South Africa in the genocide case filed against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague.
President Boric expressed shock at the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and emphasized that Chile will participate in the case filed by South Africa at the ICJ, demanding justice and emphasizing the need for a firm response from the international community.
Chile, with a significant Palestinian community, has taken a stand in solidarity with South Africa against Israel’s alleged violations of the Genocide Convention. While Chile’s Jewish community criticized Boric for political motives, the Palestinian Authority welcomed Chile’s decision as a sign of commitment to justice and international law.
