Senior BJP leaders, including Union ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, gathered for a crucial meeting ahead of the Lok Sabha poll results announcement. The meeting aimed to assess the political landscape post the exit poll predictions favoring the BJP-led alliance. The opposition I.N.D.I.A. bloc continued to refute the forecasts, claiming PM Narendra Modi’s government is facing an impending defeat.
The BJP leaders, led by party president J P Nadda, also strategized on countering the opposition’s claims. The BJP delegation had engaged with the Election Commission, alleging the Congress and allies were undermining the electoral process. They urged the EC to prevent any disruptions during the vote counting on June 4.
On the other hand, the I.N.D.I.A. bloc demanded the EC ensure transparent counting, prioritizing postal ballots before EVM results. They emphasized the need for clear guidelines and strict implementation for a fair counting process.
