The DA secured 55% of the vote, continuing their governance in the province. The ANC suffered its worst performance, with only 19% of the vote. The Patriotic Alliance made significant gains, winning 7.8%.

DA provincial leader Tertuis Simmers announced Alan Winde’s continuation as premier, expressing gratitude to supporters and voters. Simmers emphasized the party’s commitment to serving the Western Cape with excellence.

The Patriotic Alliance also saw success in the Western Cape, marking their entry into the provincial legislature with a focus on action over rhetoric.
